Deo is a Public Policy Evaluation Specialist. He is completing a PhD in Development Economics and holds a master’s degree in resource economics and an Engineer Degree in Agronomy – Major in Natural Resource Management and Planning. He has an extensive experience in designing and implementing evaluations, namely impact evaluations of development and humanitarian assistance programs. He is also a Master Trainer of “evaluation theory and application”. Over the past ten years he has worked with organizations such as the International Initiative for Impact Evaluation (3ie), the Partnership for African Social Governance and Research (PASGR), the World Bank (PREM, AFTAR, Gender-Lab), the UNOCHA-Pooled Funds, the African School of Economics, the University of Abomey-Calavi, the MasterCard Foundation, and a few African Governments and technical partners to promote rigorous evaluation and evidence-informed policy.
