Lycia Lima holds a PhD in Public Administration and Government with emphasis on Politics and Economics of the Public Sector from FGV/EAESP, with visiting periods at Massachusetts Institute of Technology- MIT (2018-2019) and University College London (2018). She also holds a master’s degree in Development Economics by University of London- SOAS, UK, and her bachelor’s in Economics is by the Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais, Brazil. Currently, Licya is a lecturer at FGV/EAESP, deputy director of FGV EESP Clear – Center for Learning on Evaluation and Results for Brazil and Lusophone Africa, associate researcher in C-Micro – Center for Applied Microeconomics and associate researcher in Center for Politics and Economics of the Public Sector at FGV. Previously, she held positions in the World Bank in Washington DC, the UN in Geneva, the Secretariat of Strategic Affairs of the Presidency of Brazil and the Government of Minas Gerais State in Brazil. Her research interests are Applied Microeconomics, particularly public policy evaluation of human capital investments interventions (Early Childhood, Education and Labour Market). She also works on research in the areas of Urban Economics and Public Finance.
