Candice Morkel

Candice Morkel is the Director of CLEAR Anglophone Africa (CLEAR AA). She has over 20 years of experience in government and the non-profit sector, specializing in public policy and governance. She has been involved in strengthening national capacities for M&E, including developing a curriculum for M&E capacity-building programs for partners across the Anglophone Africa region. In 2019 she taught on the world-renowned IPDET program in Bern, Switzerland as part of the core faculty. She has published in the field of M&E and has presented papers and chaired sessions at various international conferences. She has served as Deputy Director of CLEAR AA, Chair of SAMEA, and as a Board Member of the African Evaluation Association (AfrEA). Her research interests are evaluation capacity development, state capacity, and building developmental states.
